WILL AND BEQUESTS
YOU CAN HELP LIMIT THE NUMBER OF FERAL CATS AND ENSURE LONG, HEALTHY LIVES FOR THEM IN A NUMBER OF WAYS.
In Your Will or Living Trust
Name Paws Patrol as a primary or contingent beneficiary (should your primary beneficiary not outlive you) of any portion of your overall estate.
Specify a dollar amount or a piece of personal or real property.
Specify a percentage of your estate to be given to Paws Patrol.
Retirement Plans
You can name Paws Patrol as a beneficiary, primary or secondary, of all or a portion of proceeds from retirement assets. This can be done as a change with the fund itself, with no need to alter your will or trust.
RMD from IRA
At age 72, the IRS requires you to begin making annual Required Minimum Distributions, or RMDs, from tax-deferred retirement savings accounts. Every dollar of the RMD is taxable income.
Depending on the amount of the IRA withdrawal, where you live, and your specific tax situation, the RMD could push you into a higher tax bracket, raise the amount of tax due on your Social Security income, and be subject to state tax.
